STUDI KASUS UPAYA PENURUNAN SUHU TUBUH PADA PASIEN ANAK DEMAM THYPOID DENGAN KOMPRES BAWANG MERAH DI RSUD TUGUREJO SEMARANG

Fever is a condition where there is an increase in body temperature above normal. The number of cases of typhoid fever in the world reaches 16-33 million cases with 500-600 thousand deaths occurring annually and 70% of these deaths occur in Asia. In Indonesia, there are 800 sufferers of 100,000 people every year. The case of typhoid fever in Indonesia is higher than other developing countries. This study aims to determine the efforts to reduce body temperature in pediatric patients with typhoid fever with red onion compresses at Tugurejo Hospital Semarang. The researcher in this case study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach of efforts to reduce body temperature in typhoid patients with red onion compresses. Researchers took data from one pediatric patient to explore the problem of decreasing body temperature in pediatric patients with typhoid fever. The patient was observed in April for 3 days. The patient said that his body temperature decreased from 39°C to 37°C. After the onion compress action was carried out for 3 days, it was found that the onion compress could reduce body temperature in patients with typhoid fever.
