STUDI KASUS INTERVENSI PERAWATAN LUKA PERINEUM DENGAN DAUN SIRIH HIJAU PADA IBU POST PARTUM SPONTAN DI BPM BIDAN ROIDAH, S.ST KABUPATEN BREBES

Post partum is the period or time since the baby is born and the placenta comes out of the uterus until the next six weeks, accompanied by the recovery of organs related to the womb, which undergo changes such as injuries and others related to childbirth. Perineal wound care is an effort to provide fulfillment of the need for comfort by nourishing the area between the two thighs which is limited between the anal canal and the external genitalia in women who have given birth to avoid infection. One of the non-pharmacological efforts to treat perineal wounds is with green betel leaf boiled water. This study aims to prevent the risk of perineal wound infection in post partum mothers. The results of the study on both clients after treatment of perineal wounds using boiled water of green betel leaf found that the perineal suture wound healed and dried up on day 3 post partum and no signs of infection were found. Meanwhile, from the results of interviews, information was obtained that both clients stated that the pain in the perineal suture wound was reduced, felt rougher and the client felt more comfortable. In conclusion, the treatment of perineal wounds using boiled water of green betel leaf is effective in helping to prevent the risk of infection.
