Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, in which this microorganism is aerobic, and likes areas with high oxygen levels so that tuberculosis attacks the lungs more. Problems that often occur in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis are cough that can not remove secretions, fever for more than 1 week and weight loss. Efforts are being made to reduce it is to do chest physiotherapy. This case study aims to determine the effectiveness of chest physiotherapy and aims to determine the effect of chest physiotherapy on sputum production and the effectiveness of airway clearance. The number of samples in this case study was 1 respondent with the sampling technique using the interview and observation method after performing chest physiotherapy techniques. The results of the study after chest physiotherapy was carried out, the patient said that he relaxed and the secretions decreased so that the respiratory examination was 27/minute, spo2 93% became respiration 24/minute, spo2 97%. In conclusion, chest physiotherapy can help increase secretions so that it can be useful for clearing the airway and relaxing the patient.
