ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN GAWAT DARURAT PADA PASIEN ASMA BRONKIAL DENGAN PEMBERIAN TERAPI OKSIGEN

Bronchial asthma can cause problems in the airway and can interfere with daily activities. As many as 300 million people suffer from asthma with 225,000 people dying from asthma worldwide. The prevalence of asthma is not known with certainty, but it is estimated that 5-7% of the Indonesian population suffers from bronchial asthma. This study aims to carry out nursing care in patients with bronchial asthma by administering oxygen therapy. The researcher in this case study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach to the implementation of emergency care in bronchial asthma patients by administering oxygen therapy. Researchers took data from patients with bronchial asthma as many as 2 respondents, which contained 1 intervention respondent and I control respondent. Monitoring of oxygenation therapy in respondents with a flow of 3 liters/minute using a nasal cannula to maintain the body's needs and get good results. There is a change in the breathing pattern that starts in normal range as well as the oxygen saturation that begins to increase, and the wheezing sound is no longer audible.
