STUDI KASUS PENGELOLAAN PENURUNAN NYERI PADA LANSIA PENDERITA RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS DENGAN PEMBERIAN KOMPRES HANGAT AIR REUSAN SERAI DI DESA WUNGUREJO RINGINARUM

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that can cause inflammation in the joints and can attack other organs of the body, where the symptom that is often experienced is joint pain. One of the non-pharmacological treatments for rheumatoid arthritis is a warm compress. Warm compresses can be combined with herbal plants, including using a decoction of lemongrass. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a warm compress of lemongrass boiled water. This study aims to see the effect of warm lemongrass compresses on reducing the intensity of rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly. The results obtained after carrying out nursing actions with warm compresses of lemongrass boiled water were reduced pain in the patient on the third day. The conclusion in this study is that there is an effect of giving a warm compress of lemongrass boiled water on the intensity of pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
