STUDI KASUS PENGELOLAAN NYERI SENDI PADA PASIEN ARTHITIS GOUT DENGAN PENERAPAN KOMPRES KAYU MANIS

The prevalence of gouty arthritis is in the high category. Disorders caused by high uric acid levels can cause strong joint pain, joint swelling, inflammation of the joints, and damage to the joints. Cinnamon has pharmacological effects such as antirheumatic, and analgesic can relieve pain. Cinnamon contains essential oils (1-4%) consisting of eugenol, safrole, cinnamaldehyde, tannin, calcium oxalate, resin, and tanning substances. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of cinnamon compresses to respondents who had gouty arthritis in Gringsing Village, Batang. This type of research is descriptive with the EBP (Evidence Based Practice) case study method. This research was conducted on 35 May 2022. Data collection methods used interviews, observations, physical examinations, documentation studies and questionnaires. The results of the study showed a decrease in pain in respondents with the results of the last observation that pain assessment data were obtained in respondents, namely pain due to arthritis gout (palliative), tingling pain quality (quality), knee pain (region), pain scale 5 (scale), time disappearing (time). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of cinnamon compresses on reducing gout arthritis joint pain in respondents.
