STUDI KASUS TEKNIK INHALASI UAP SEDERHANA UNTUK MENGURANGI SESAK NAPAS PADA PASIEN ASMA DI TATANAN KELUARGA

Asthma is a disorder of the bronchial tubes with bronchial characteristics with period bronchospasm characteristics (spasm contractions in respiratory tract spasms). Simple inhalation means giving medicine by inhalation in the form of steam into the respiratory tract which is done with simple ingredients and methods and can be done in a family environment. Eucalyptus oil is one of the essential oil-producing plants that are important for the essential oil industry in Indonesia. The main product produced from the eucalyptus plant is eucalyptus oil which is obtained from the distillation of eucalyptus leaves. The quality of the raw material for eucalyptus leaves is mainly in Java. The purpose of this study was to describe the administration of simple steam inhalation therapy using eucalyptus oil to reduce shortness of breath in asthma patients. The research method used in this case study is a descriptive method with a case study design with a focus on problems related to the administration of simple steam inhalation therapy to reduce shortness of breath in asthmatics. Data were collected by measuring breathing before and after giving steam inhalation therapy using eucalyptus oil for 3 days with a time of 10-20 minutes. With the results of the patient, there was an ineffective breathing pattern RR 42x/minute to a regular breathing pattern, lack of shortness of breath in patients with RR 32x/minute. This shows tha tit is very effective to give simple steam inhalation therapy using eucalyptus oil to reduce shortness of breath in asthmatics.
