Abstract

Breast milk is the best and most perfect first and single food ingredient for babies aged 0-6 months. The problem in exclusive breastfeeding is the main obstacle for post partum mothers. Efforts that can be made to facilitate breastfeeding in post partum mothers are oxytocin massage. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of increasing breast milk production in post partum mothers with oxytocin massage at Brangsong 02 Health Center. This type of research was descriptive with the EBP (Evidence Based Practice) case study method. Sampling with a total sampling of post partum mothers according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This research was conducted on September 6-13, 2021, then continued on September 14-21, 2021. The data collection methods used interviews, observations, physical examinations, documentation studies and questionnaires. The results showed an increase in breast milk of 100 ml every time the massage was carried out accompanied by an increase in the frequency of breastfeeding 8-10 times / day. The conclusion of this study is the effect of oxytocin massage on increasing milk production in post partum mothers.
