Abstract

Mental disorders are one of the four major health problems in developed. modern and industrialized countries. Although the mental disorder is not considered a disorder that causes direct death, the severity of the disorder makes the sense of disability and individual and group identity hinder development, because they are unproductive and inefficient. Self-care deficit is one of the symptoms experienced by schizophrenic patients as a negative symptom. There is no psychopharmaceutical that can overcome the deficit in self-care other than training patients to cope with their inability or unwillingness to perform self-care. Clients may experience a decline in the ability to think so that they experience developmental delays. The conclusion of the study after being carried out by practicing personal hygiene and dressing for 3 days in self-care deficit patients had a good influence on patient development, patients were able to take care of themselves and were able to perform personal hygiene and dress themselves.
