STUDI KASUS PENGELOLAAN NYERI PADA PASIEN FRAKTUR FEMUR DENGAN FOKUS INTERVENSI TEKNIK PEMBIDAIAN DAN TERAPI BENSON DI RUMAH SAKIT ISLAM KENDAL

Fractures occur due to damage to nerves and blood vessels that cause pain. Splinting is an act of immobilizing the injured extremity and protecting from further injury. Meanwhile, to reduce pain, the application of Benson therapy technique is an alternative way. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of pain management in femoral fracture patients with splinting techniques and Benson therapy. A case study report based on EBP (Evidence Based Practice) to explore the management of splinting in the pain management of femoral fracture patients. The research location is at RSI Kendal with the research time of May 21, 2022. The data collection method uses interviews, observations, physical examinations, documentation studies and questionnaires. The results of the case study showed that before and after the splinting technique and the relaxation technique of Benson therapy in patients with femoral fractures on the third day post-accident, there was a significant effect. It can be concluded that the splinting technique and the relaxation technique of Benson therapy are to maintain bone structure and prevent the patient's condition from worsening and pain can be reduced.
