Abstract

(DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder caused by the pancreas not producing enough insulin or the body cannot use the insulin it produces effectively. The risk factors for type 2 diabetes are obesity, age of resistance, gestational age. DM occurs because of insulin resistance which shows a decrease in tissue sensitivity to insulin. The purpose of this study was to determine the decrease in blood sugar levels in DM patients with aerobic exercise. For the management of DM, non-medical use can be used, one of which is aerobic exercise which can lower blood sugar levels. To find out the truth that aerobic exercise can reduce blood sugar levels, the researchers used a case study research design. The sample of this study is a 55 year old woman who suffers from Dm. Based on research, aerobic exercise is proven to be able to reduce blood sugar levels, at the time of the study, the GDS was checked with the result of 300 mg/dl. After being managed for 3 times, the final GDS result was 136mg/dl. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between aerobic exercise and a decrease in blood sugar levels.
